1989 gt HELP

Buddy has an 89 mustang gt hé just bout some wheels off an 2001 gt thought it would be an easy swap but the front wheels wont go on over the rotors....any thoughts on how to get them to fit?

where are they hitting? GT wheels are big enough to fit over cobra brakes so i know height isn't the issue..is it the depth?

The center of the wheel will not slide over the front wheel bearing

I think im doing à poor job of explaining ...the studs dont come through the wheel because it is hitting the center of the wheel

So you are saying the center hole that the dust cap goes through is to small? If so then the wheel wont work. Or you need different hubs.
