Ok all you fox-body enthusiasts... this was my father's pony that he owned when I was younger, but I don't remember the specific year... I think early 80s but not 100% sure. It was a black 5.0 manual trans with T-tops (which leaked ALL the time!). Any thoughts??

I would guess 18-21... Thats my guess because my dad had an '88 GT that he had until i was 1 or 2 until he hydroplaned and rolled it into a pole, and i'm 18 now. His was a T-top 5.0 manual also.

Disregard what Soccerluvr4 said. He doesn't seem to be making much sense tonight. Lol.
It's hard to tell from the picture but that looks like a red stripe on the moulding so I'm going to pin it down to around 1985ish to 1987ish. 2300turboford will probably be able to tell...

Hard to tell without seeing the front or rear quarter windows.

I'm gonna say 87 judging by the mirror. Looks like this one for 87-93. Mustang Power Mirror - Coupe/Hatchback - LH (87-93) at AmericanMuscle.com NM0163 - Free Shipping!

Although those rims were used on 90-93 Mustangs they had a rubber like outer finish.

That's a 82 or 83, probably a gl or glx
see the hood scoop?
I used to have a 83 GL, it was a cool car, had no options, 4 cyl wheels, and had the 11 gallon gas tank like a 4cyl. Mine was a 5.0 coupe

I have to agree, those are the same mirrors that came on the 79-86's. the hood scoop makes me think 83-84.

No kidding! Any clean 4 eye mustang is getting hard to find these days, especially the early ones, you just don't see them around any more.

Nice!! Sounds like a good starting point for the project. My 86 is currently undergoing a lot of upgrades too. There's always something to do, lol! How's the dash in your 83?

Needs a new one lol. It's cracked and missing. Car runs like a damn champ though! It'll pull my 03 with no problems. Only picked it up for $500 from my cousins friend. Im trying to decide if i want a mean cruiser i can take to the strip or just go balls to the wall drag with it.
