Head gaskets are bad.

Boiled up today on gauge , wasnt even hot outside. Recently got new tstat and flushed fluid.. Thought that may have been the issue but I have no pressure. I have idling pressure when holding revs up to 2500 - 3000 . Have oil coming up aswell in rad. Kick in the *** for an Aug 1st :/

Gaskets are cheap and its a fairly fast fix. I tore my top end apart in an hour and started cleaning parts and 3 hours later I was driving again. Driveway repair even.

Gasket kit set me back $75 for head and intake gaskets.

Not necessarily. I blew a head gasket and ran the car a little longer than I should have. Thought the worse. Pulled the entire motor and replaced it with a DSS 347. About A month ago I decided to pull the heads and see if they were ok to use on my truck. Straight edge said they were fine. So I'm porting and polishing them, Gonna have a sweet three angle done then send them for milling before I put them on the 150.

I know .. Gonna have to do some saving.. Just did ring pinion 3wks ago! Bummer. Was just starting to get the gears worn in a bit. Most likely going to just prepare for storage now. i'm from Canada, also I pay 580$ monthly in the summer for my Mustang and Dakota 'dd'.
Trying to plan out which engine I am going to grab. Im not looking to spend ridiculous money but on the other hand id like something decent.
I had a couple of questions for you guys.

The 306ci 340 hp motor , if I bought that and dropped in and installed all intake and ignition/fuel components would I have to get it tuned/dyno?

Is it better value to just get an engine fully assembled and a 'turn key' set up?

Depends on what you want to spend, how much mechanical experience you have. But I don't see why not. If your gonna run a chip best is a dyno tune.

And y so much for insurance! My 88 is only like $102 a month. Buddy pays $140 a month for his '11 GT.

And my stroker build DSS level 10 block bored .030, rotating assembly, AFM cam so far $2800. I need a pile more parts and some I have laying around I estimate another $2500-$3000 in parts to go. So I am saving like $1500 or more doing it myself. That's $1500 more for a transmission I have. Hello T-56!

I guess its so high because of my age (24) and i have collision on my 07 dodge dakota + 2 speeding tickets.

Where is the best place to order a engine from..summit racing? Ford racing?
I am from Brampton/Ontario/Canada

Whats a good example of a turn key engine forsale online.

I plan to strip all of the good parts off the old engine. Just installed a brand new msd pro billet dizzy and bbk cai, new maf .. Lots of decent stuff
