Exhaust

What's better, off road x-pipes or off road h-pipes?

Performance wise no difference. I personally think the H pipe sounds waaaay better, has a more deep classic muscle sound

I'm going to correct you before someone else does. For you OP, there will be no difference in power. For cars that aren't stock from a power perspective will see maybe 1-3hp gains in the top end of their rev range with o/r X-pipe. H-pipe will sound more like a classic v8, less raspy, deeper toned.

X's perform a little better with more of a raspy tone and h's have more of a deep tone

Well I'm running OR H-pipes with 40's. I'm just not satisfied with the sound. My next step is to get some long tube headers and hope that it makes a difference. If not than I think I'm gonna go with OR X-pipes, and 10's. FYI, I like the deep raspy loud yet clean sound. Thoughts?
