Might change mustangs.

I was wondering how much of a horsepower gain I would get if I went from a 98 3.8 to a 94 5.0.

That depends on a lot of things.. Older pushrods mods kill mpgs.. In my dads old 95 5.0 we could pull 21 pretty much stock..

Are you talking stock 5.0? There is so much that can be done to easily double the HP from V6 to V8.

+1 in my 93 cobra with GT40 heads LT CAI 3.73 TB and more I get like 15 highway and like 3 gallons to the mile in town lol.

I got 24mpg on my 5.0 Cobra on the highway when it was stock. They come with 3.08s though so I was turning like 1800 rpm doing 75mph. They get suprisingly great mileage till you start modding...

As for 3.8 vs 5.0 it isn't even in the same performance universe.
