msd ignition

have a chance to get a digital 6a msd ignition box cheap but not sure if it will work or be good for the 1987 302 enfine i have. I am completely rebuilding the motor this week end.
Also any thoughts on boring out/cleaning up 85 E6 heads? I can get it done for free till I get some more money save for better aluminum heads
thanks guys

do you mean E7TE heads? It's not really worth your time to port them.

85 heads are E5s and no it isn't even worth porting them for free since you'll have to buy new HGs, head bolts/studs etc... to swap them.

As for a 6A box, they work but if you ever open one up and look inside at the guts you'll be looking at what looks like a 6 yr old went at some circuit boards and wires with a hot glue gun. Its pretty awful... get a Crane Hi-6 box, THOSE are actually built well and are smaller and don't make any noise when they're on like the MSD boxes do.
2000 Mustang GT Steeda build #48. Bolt ons, suspension, Novi 2000.

Just because I give you advice, doesn't mean I know more than you. Its just means I've done more stupid ****.
