5.0 Runs hotter than normal

A couple weeks ago I noticed my 5.0 temperature ran a little hotter than normal. Were the temp gauge reads normal it get to the A and some times to the L. I bleed the system for 15 mins but bubbles were still in the radiator. Thinking a blown heads gasket. But the car never really over heats.... any suggestions

1. Never trust the hick gauges in the dash
2. Took my car quite a bit to work out all the bubbles
3. Change thermostat (cheap) and maybe pick up an cooling additive wetter water or the likes.. We ran it down in Arizona helps some..

Oil is fine. I got a tester that the reacts to exhause fumes and turns the liquid yellow....it didn't. Car has bubbles in radiator and minimun white smoke. About how long does it take to bleed the system

Smell the coolant...does it have a gassy smell??? If it does most likely head gasket...a blown head gasket doesn't always blow white smoke unless its real bad..Could be the rad itself also...

Mine did this yesterday. Checked the rad and it was halfway down topped it up good to go. But noticed white coming out of driver side tailpipe. . Just did head gaskets last summer. Time to go with Cometic gaskets I guess. High RpM + fel pro gaskets = not good time. Good thing I planned in doing it anyway. Just not so soon.
