wire size

I just put in a screamin' demon ignition coil in my 91', new iridiums gapped to .060, should I be concerned with my 8mm wires not being able to handle the voltage/heat?

Not an answer to your question, but why are they gapped to .060? That seems a bit much unless there is a reason like different heads or something.

+1

And it could depend on the wires too......

The demon coil says to gap them between .060 and .065, its almost twice the standard gap but every review is great when the plugs are gapped the way the coil recommended.

I ran into that with the old accel coil...plugs gapped normally but I was pinging and cold not figure it out til I removed accel...I didn't no it had a recommended gap for plugs back in 90...lol

And I think 8mm will b fine but 9mm would be better so I would change just in case....

Just finished the coil and the plugs. Also cleaned the AIC before starting her up. Ran beautiful, fixed my cold motor stalling issue. It would usually want to stall on the first start of the day or a completely cold motor, had to give it gas for the first 20 seconds or so. So far so good!
