I have an automatic and it seems to shift early into second gear when I get on it from drive and seems I'm not getting all the power out of my car.. even when i decide to shift gears it changes before I want it too. Does any one know what I can do to fix this problem.

What tranni is it? Does it have the vacuum modulator? Or is it electronic? I cant remember when they switched to the neutral safety switch a.k.a. Manual lever position sensor

I think its the AOD so check for a vacuum leak along the vacuum line from the modulator on the tranni to the intake manifold. Pull off the line at the modulator and check for tranni fluid. If thats good then u might need to adjust ur kickdown cable but i would save that for last because it is sensitive and hard to adjust.

The kick down cable is that by the throttle body to adjust it

Usually its adjusted by the tranni. Make a mark where it is so if u have to put it back for any reason, u know where it was.
Try tightening it, just a little bit at a time.
