2. Would any one be able to point me in the direction of where i could purchase this

All they did was clean up motor internals, add afr 165cc heads, headers, and roller rockers....you can get those parts at lots of vendors...and probably find some parts used on here...

I looked on AFR's site and the 165's are available with emissions or without. Given your car is newer you'll probably want the emissions ones. Those heads will be the big purchase. On their website you can look for dealers near you. The other parts are plentiful and relatively inexpensive and are available at any of the aftermarket websites.

Lol @ these magazines/websites.

AFR 165s and a good EFI intake with a stock cam is:

1-completely pointless since you'll need to tune anyway and even a used TFS1 cam for $100 will make a huge difference with the AFR heads
2-misleading because 382hp on an engine dyno for that combo is grossly exagerrated
3-Going to cost more by the time you are done than it would to supercharge and you'll make 100+hp more with the blower

I paid $700 for a set of used Edelbrock RPM heads on the corral, $150 for a used Comp XE270HR-112 cam and had my Cobra intake ported for $200. That's as much as these heads cost new alone and I made over 300whp. By the time I got done with all the little extras like pushrods, gaskets, new mounts, new water pump, new hardware etc... I was over $2k and I could have spent that money on a Vortech and made 425whp no problem. Lesson learned if I ever have another pushrod car.

$2000 gets you an On3 kit. $1500-$2000 you can piece together your own S trim kit with fuel system and err-thang.

Heads and a intake isn't worthless with a stock cam, the stock cam is actually pretty good. You could keep the stock cam and throw 1.7rr on the afr165s and call it a day. I wouldn't change the cams unless u have atleast a 3.73 gear

Uh, 5.0s take to mods great. Bolt on stock motors don't make great numbers as far as horsepower is concerned but they'll run some great 1/4 times for almost no money.

People act like 300rwhp is the magic number for some odd reason. Probably because a good hci can get you there no problem and power adders scare ppl off and I have no idea why.

I think 400hp is too much for people on a fox...when you go from 200 to 400 on the fox its more than just bolt ons and I think that's too much work to do,maintain, and enjoy for most...400 also makes for a rough ride compared to what u get with newer cars...I have a 69mach1 its apples to oranges compared to my 89lx same with terminator I'm getting...the old school muscle guys are different but a new bread seems to be coming...

Yes, yes you can. People did nothing BUT compare the 5.0 to the 4.6 (both 4V and 2V) and a boss 302 is still just a 302 small block just like the old 5.0 is...

You know honestly the 3V is not a bad motor at all. Lots of stuff you can do with it just like the 2V or the 4V, just a little trickier with the VVT and whatnot. Don't get me wrongs its not the 5.0 and still has the same glass jaw internals as any modular (minus the termi) but its very easy to hit 300hp, just a few bolt ons and go. With the "hot cams" they are pretty nice. Guy around the corner has an 05-09 with cams and it sounds nasty.
