crazy idle

I came to a stop light and the car cut off while at idle. I started it back up and the idle shot up to 2500 rpms. What's up with that on my 95 GT.

Check the codes. Could be the iac, tps sensor.. That's all I can think its be, or your throttle plate is open to far on idle. But you would've had to physically do that.

A mass air sensor will make it idle funny or hesitate also

Has to be your throttle body or mass air clean em up. And check to see what goes on. Sometimes the littlest things can happen. Can't over think things.

Clean sensors, check TPS voltage etc... 94/95 cars have terrible idle issues. Even with a tune...
