cluster swap

If I swap out my cluster for a terminator cluster is it a plug and play install or is it more complicated than it seems ? And also if you change the cluster you need ford to reprogram it right ?

I seen the swap done on a fox already. But he didn't get into detail with it. Wiring wise and programming.

Well the fit is completely different for one. Two is that you've got a mechanical cable speedo vs electronic which I suppose would be easy enough to switch out with a 94-98 sending unit. You'd have to fab up a custom mounting system, make your own bezel, splice ALL your wires etc...

Not sure why in hell you'd pay the money to do all that for factory gauges that aren't all that accurate. Hell, the oil gauge isn't even a real gauge its just a 6 psi on/off switch.

Just get a set of white faces for your fox cluster and be done with it. OR if you want to spend the money you'll spend on making a SVT cluster work, get a Florida 5.0 cluster with Autometer gauges.

I was just thinking about it lol ....

I was thinking about the custom clusters the 5.0 website does but I wasn't to sure how legit it was or whatever.

The Florida 5.0 stuff is great, lots of guys running their stuff. $700 seems like a lot till you realize the price of all the gauges isn't too far off and you're getting a plug and play cluster that is actually accurate and looks about as factory as you can get.
