Insralling new tie rod ends

Recently I had my power rack break on me. I purchased a new oem one and I have new tie rod ends to install with it. When I took the old tie rod end apart I had the amount of turns it took to get the alignment close. I have since misplaced the paper. Does anyone know a base point to set them at or is it just guess. Any help would be appreciated the car is an 88 gt.

If u have the time to do it, you can YouTube how to do an alignment in your garage. I changed mine and used my calibrated eyeball and some lines on the floor and a tape measure. I had it within an 1/8" and it seemed fine. Shortly after, maybe a couple weeks, had a wreck and insurance paid to have the alignment done as part of everything else, don't know how far off I was but it didn't seem much different than what I had done.
