Do u want to use the 302? Or are you going to swap in a 351? What else will you do with the car...daily driver, track only, etc. what is your budget? If you want low twelves, you can get there pretty easy, but a lot depends on how much you wanna spend. Is it auto or manual? Lots of questions need answered first.

First things first. ME rules are... Can't talk about street racing. So... With that out of the way, many people on here will help you spend your money to make a track car that you can drive daily.

Do you want to stay naturally aspirated, or go forced induction?

Pretty much what everyone is saying...stroke it, heads, cam, maf, exhaust, gears, stiffen chassis. When you have more questions...we're here!

First off, build a 351 instead of a 302 stroker. Cost is nearly the same and the returns on the 351 based stroker are much, much higher. Its practically a direct bolt in.

Second, what is your budget? To build any sort of good 302 or 351 stroker you are looking at $5k+ for the motor itself not even getting into the driveline/chassis/suspension and fuel system. Even a basic top end HCI kit is going to run $2800.

Third, a 12 second car is quick but not exactly the fastest thing in the world. You can hit 12s with just bolt ons, gears and a lot of weight reduction in a 5.0 Fox which is where I would suggest you start. Bolt ons, 3.73 gears, advance timing to 14 degrees, do some basic suspension and sticky tires and see what she runs. You might be surprised. If you still aren't happy at that point do the fuel system and throw a 125 shot at it for 11s.

What I would do if I were you is just research a LOT. Make an account on other sites too and search here and over there, any question you can think to ask has already been answered if you look.
