Pro comps are a cheap knock off brand like the Pro Products stuff. If its running well I'd just leave it alone.

Ok well just so you know they're definitely a knock off. AFR/TFS/Eddy etc... make damn sure you know they are their heads and the names will be stamped on the front of the head right in the same spot as those.

What does the guy want for the car if you don't mind me asking? Who tuned it? Who built the shortblock etc... I'd be very leery of buying a modded car from an owner who doesn't know wtf he has unless you get it for a song.

Actually re-read the post and I think he just wants to buy the engine. I'd pass unless the guy knows exactly what is in it or you are getting it for a few $hundred.

Ok well the engine is a 307 forged internals,1.7 rollers rockers, hardened pushrods, longtube headers, upgraded valve springs, trick flow stage track heat upper lower and also the trick flow stage 2 cam , idk what brand of aluminum heads, 70mm tb with a 76mm maf with 24lbs injectors, has smog pump, powersterring, a/c canceled and also comes with a nitrous wet kit but not installed

The big kicker here will be the price of it. Those are very probably the procomps I think they are which are OK if the installer checked them out and cleaned up anything that might have been an issue.

However I still would pass on it unless you get it for a REALLY good price.

And well he's not selling the car only engine and Trans cause he's doing an lsx swap, and well the guy who built the motor and owns the car is from Mexico but right now he has it at a friends shop locally and I'm not sure if it's tuned or not

---------- Post added at 08:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:48 PM ----------

He's wanting like 2gs I believe but I think I can lower him down to 1,500

Wait. I understand now!

He meant 2000 pesos. That's a better price.

Last time I was in Turkey I had an awful lot of Lira in my account...

In all seriousness... that is an unknown motor built by someone in their backyard and you have no clue about how good or bad that guy is. Also the fact that they used Pro Comp heads should tell you something about the quality of components in the rest of the engine. Even when I was doing my mega budget build I made it a point to get a good name brand set of heads.
