TFS 225s, FTI or Buddy Rawls custom cam, I'm not super familiar with carb setups but I'm sure whatever good Edelbrock carb intakes are out there will be winners.

Trans I would for sure go automatic with a 408 for the drag strip. My vote would be a built 4r70w and then either control it with a Baumann standalone or just get a manual valve body and shift by yourself.

Nice! I just dropped an 8.8 I bought off CL at my buddies shop to be built. I'm pretty much going the same route you did, minus the c clip eliminators. Are you staying 4 lug?

Yeah staying 4 lug,
Really don't see a point of upgrading

These are rated up to 700+ hp supposedly

Only thing I would recommend is a Holley carb over Edelbrock...love Edelbrock for intakes, but I've seen several Edelbrock's leak when it comes to carbs. Never had issues with a Holley.

I agree. I'm sticking 4 lug as well. I think most guys do it for the rim selection....lol

I wouldn't mind going disc rear though. But you can stay 4 lug and accomplish that too.
