That's an 87-93 ecu. I know the 94-95 ecu was notoriously bad, but why do you want to convert it? Depending om your reasons, it might be easier to get a tune.

Well I bought a sct chip from American muscle and I've had problems with it and then when I removed it the car ran bad and I've changed anything you could think of to fix problem. Finally I changed the ecu with a new one and it ran better so now I don't know if the computer was bad or if the chip made it bad. I have not put chip on new computer. Trying to figure out my next move.

Have you tried to reset your old ecu by disconnecting the battery?

What probability happened was the ecu adjusted for the chip, and they are more cumbersome and stubborn to relearn than the 87-93 ecu, so it was probably having a tough time adjusting.

Oh ok. Yeah it can be done, I've never done it though. I wouldn't use the chip again, well not without an actual dyno tune atleast. You could give AM a call amd let them know the issues you've had with it. Maybe they can shed some light on it.
