4 lugs or 5 lug

Ok guys, just wondering what is everyone's input on 4 lugs over 5 lug. Are they really that much stronger, do I really need to swap out, is it just for the wheels. The reason for this is I just bought a set of pony R's. My car is making 600 rwhp but see's the track on very limited.

Super Duty Catalinas back in the early 60s had 8 lugs...

I kept 4ug on my fox. Only reason to swap to 5 lug imo would be for rim options, and if you wanted to swap sn 95 brakes on. But there are some great fox brake kits out there too. I also have a set of pony R rims out back.I got them to match the stock style with a deep dish rim

Honestly I think it's more preference than anything. Most will say it's added insurance especially at your power level, but I've seen MANY four lugs take huge amounts of abuse over long periods of time without problem.
