Right Turn Clyde!

Anyone have an idea why my car would fall on its face when making a right turn while slightly accelerating? It happens every time, unless I take the turn slowly. If I give 3/4 throttle or so, it acts like it loses fuel. The only thing I could come up with, is gas sloshing to the opposite side of the tank and starving the pump? It never happens when turning left, or any other time. Only during right turns.

Sounds like the sump baffle broke. This is common on the fox cars.

You will have to buy another tank to fix this. Also it would be a good time to freshen up the fuel filter and pump while the tank is down.

Any tank through 1997 is a direct replacement. New tank, upgraded pump and the filter obviously and you are good.

Make sure you get all the gas out of your tank you can or it will turn you (every which way but loose).
