Instrument cluster

Any ideas on where I can get a new/used stock looking cluster for my '88 5.0 5 speed. Prefer a 140 mph speedo.

Looked on eBay but want to see if there are other options.

In case you didn't know, the 90-93 will work but the fitment where the steering column plastic covers the cluster is larger on the airbag cars. It doesnt match up to good.

Yep, you want a 87-89 cluster which you can find on the evilbays, CL, and various mustang forum classifieds. Good to hear you found 2 of them. Just watch because broken speedos are somewhat common.

I love how everybody thinks they have the Barrett Jackson prices like they have the last instrument cluster in the world. You would think there would have been a solution to all the broken speedos...then again what fun is it to figure out what the problem is

They just get old and they are not motors in the fox clusters like they are in the 94-up clusters. After awhile the mechanical parts just fail. I drove around in a 91 with a busted speedo for awhile... used the tach to ballpark how fast I was going. Not exactly smart but I did a LOT of stupid things when I was younger.

Lol I know exactly what you mean by doing stupid things when we were younger. We just are a little but smarter in our older years about doing things.
