Annoying

So today i put on a 70mm throttle body and a BBK cold air intake. Well now when the car is idling theres a really loud high pitched noise that sound like its coming from my passenger side valve cover. its super annoying... im 100% positive that its not any pulleys or bearings.
Any Body ever had this problem?

i also have a check engine light on but when ran the code it said the computer and no previous codes stored.

it actually sounds like its coming from the back of the intake, towards the drivers side rear well on the intake.

No, actually I decoded my car. The dumb obd1 with the paper clip. The tps voltage was to low so it was sucking more air in to compensate and whistling real loud. The BBk sensor sucks big fat d. I put the old one on and set it to .98 and it works like a charm

Welcome to the wonderful world of BBK throttle bodies. I told you their products were barely a step up from ebay no-name stuff. I think it was you anyway... Go with Trick Flow for budget or pay a premium for Accufab if you want the absolute best and you won't have these issues. And always use factory sensors regardless.

What kind of MPG are you getting with the bigger Tb's? Been thinking about upgrading but since my 87' is a daily driver, I'm also trying to keep my MPG's as high as possible, currently getting 17-19 in town and 22-24 on highway. Who knew a 5.0 could be so fuel efficient, but then a fox weighs about as much as a wet poodle lol.

Yeah it was you scotty. The fender well intake was another problem.
1st of all the elbow coming out was not bent enough and it's rubbing and cocked like crazy in the throttle body. CRAPPY!!!

2cd. The other elbow coming off the maf sensor going into the fender was so chappy made it wouldn't even go in the hole for the fender. It was about and inch past the hole. Almost to the headlight.

I sent pics to a guy at latemodel, told him at the same time that I will not be buying bbk equipment ever again.

And for digital. Idk, I don't pay attention. To gas mileage till it does like my cavalier did and literally drink the gas. I got 9mpg city when the computer in my cavalier was going out. Mind you I was delivering pizza at the time.
