Plastic Dip!!

Is there anyone out there that has plastic dipped there whole car? I'm considering doing a full paint job just to cover up the paint I have now until I can afford a nice new paint job. Going back with white.

That's just a worse case scenario. There was a guy here that did his new edge that came out good. It all just depends

You always want to do the base coat, the 1st and usually 2cd as light as possible. I'm going to do it here when it stops raining and being chappy colder days

Seen it multiple times in person. Looks like something that wound up in my toilet after a plate of Mango Habenero wings from Bdubs. There is a car right now at my work that is totally plasti dipped. I make it a point to park next to it so my car looks that much better.

You'll get people on both sides of the fence. I did it because the original paint was in horrendous shape, so pitting 4-5 coats of plasti dip (via rattle can too) over it wouldn't make a difference. Lol

Its lasted quite good in the florida sun, daily rains, and abuse from me not caring about the paint. Only cost me like 110 bucks for the paint, and I did it outside over a few days.

IF you properly prep the car like you would with a real paintjob AND do the plasti clear over it it looks better than a primer job or bare metal or mismatched panels but that's about it IMO. The girl who did her WRX that I park next to already has it chipping all over and where the gas door is its all peeling off right under it. I'm guessing from gas dripping on it when the nozzle comes out.

Absolutely agree. Just make sure if you want the matte black look not to use the glossifier, but an actual clear coat. The peeling is probably from the paint being too thin too. I've seen it happen on other cars as well. Just got to take your time and prep it good!

My bosnian bud works at a detail shop where they use the actual sprayer. He's pretty good at doing it but all he does is wash the car

I was considering doing the same thing for the same reason but then I realied how trashy it looks. Some cars can pull it off but I feel like a matte black sn-95 looks ghetto as hell lol. Something you would see stolen on an episode of cops in Miami lol.
