suspension

Hey everyone I have my stock struts, shocks, control arms and coils on my 88 mustang 5.0lx. They're starting to get really bad now. I want to replace them all. What am I going to need? I also plan on getting the front "v" control arms from American muscle or late model restoration. I also was changing my brakes and when I removed the rear rims I noticed that I have a weird shock that is diagonal that is starting to get bad. What is that? I want to replace what's needed over the next few months. Thank you all!

You will get all kinda replies unless you give some idea of what your goals/budget is... Daily driver/ street fun/drag/etc. I believe the diagonal shocks you are asking about are the "quad shocks" and with a good set if control arms they can be deleted otherwise they have replacements.

Yeah the picture below shows the shocks theyre the black diagonal ones. I am using this for daily driver but also for some fun when I want to put my throttle pedal to the floor.
