Opertunity to do a manual conversion.

Stumbled upon a wrecked 95 with a t5. He is parting out his mustang and I want to buy the transmission, shifter, clutch and brake assembly, dust plate, driveshaft, flywheel, and computer off him. The transmission has 150k on it and I'm shure it needs a new clutch. My question is how much more life does a tremec t5 have after 150k and he said it was smooth with no grinding or slippage before it got in an accident. Also what's the max I should pay for all this and can I use the automatic computer and just leave the shifter switch in nutural, or should I just replace the computer with the manual one? Thanks guys.

See how much he wants for the whole car and then part the rest out yourself. 150k is a hell of a lot of miles on a trans, I'd assume it would need rebuilt. If you get the whole car that means you'll have all the parts right there and not be like "oshi I missed that stupid XYZ part". You can keep the auto computer but will throw lights on the dash which you can just ignore. Or just install the T4M0.

He wants a grand for the whole car, I have no room for it and it's destroyed, he totaled it badly, back axel moved over, drivers side ripped off, front k member broke etc.. I have a list of whatvi need off a thread on the coral, and if I can score everything I listed above for 300 to 400 I will be a happy camper. Also get some odds and ends like a cruise contoll button and extra throttole cable. While I'm under the car and I have the exhaust down I will install the dynomax ultra flows while Im at it. Then I run the t5 untill it acts up and get it rebuilt or do it my self.
