Thinking of body paint change

I was thinking of changing the color of my stang to either a grabber blue or having it some color with the pony on the side in ghost color or pure white without the pin striping. What so you think?Click image for larger version

How is she mechanically?

Plus this is a personal opinion.......like what do you prefer blondes or brunettes?

But I am kinda partial to sonic blue.

I already have a boyfriend so I don't really have a preference. She is pretty much stock although from factory she came with a police interceptor engine. But I plan to do a bunch of mods once I can afford too.

Well the only thing is a good paint job is expensive.

Also to change the color means everything has to be painted....dor jams, trunk, engine bay.

Also the question I posed to you was just an example of personal preference.

I like that color that you posted. and I also love sonic blue. all in preference, but as mentioned, getting a good paint job is costly. my 88 was originally red and painted black before I had it, and the paint job wasn't too great and it showed, badly. good luck and post some pics once you get her painted!

I personally love a clean white Mustang. My Cobra was Crystal White and if I get another 94/95 car it will be the same with a black interior.

One thing you have to remember with a full body color change. EVERYTHING has to come apart. Interior wise this is not a big deal but when you start talking drivetrain and suspension... have fun. I'd leave it white and just get it re-sprayed by a good shop and they can take any small dents/whatever out beforehand. Get any weld on body bracing done beforehand as well like subframes if you don't have them already. Then work on making the interior look like new again.

That is just my $.02

I am not comparing your car to my old truck, but-

When I was a sprig and had an old S10 Blazer, a wise man told me not to invest in something I couldn't get money out of. Obviously not full value, but if I crashed my S10 into a tree, what would I be able to use in another vehicle, sell, or get value for?

Would I get more for a paint job, or a stereo?

To me it was obvious about it, and if you want a paint job then do what makes you happy! But just something to keep in mind. If you were driving and got t-boned, what would this paint job change for your insurance?

-------------

As for the paint job, I would think your Mustang would look SLICK if it was grabber blue, with the white left underneath it showing through some emblems. Like 5.0 on the sides, or the pony, something classy you'd like.

Obviously NOT like this...
