X piped or H piped

I am wanting to build my car up and make it sound a bit louder by putting different mufflers and headers on my car. What do you think?

Well x pipe is more of a raspy sound and h pipe is a more of a deep rumble. Depends on what sound you want. Are you talking about offroad or catted?

Yeah I believe so. I have never changed the headers since I have had this car. I mean my vin eighth digit is E. I don't know if that makes any different on sound and all that.

I would go with some ceramic coated shorty headers stainless steel h pipe if your going with flowmasters. and some hi flow cats. that should make it louder and last.

Okay I will do that. If my engine ever dies. I'm not buying a new one. I'll rebuild it. I have a police interceptor

Thanks right now its mostly stock. cold air intake, stock headers and h pipe with flowmaster 40s and a stage 1 race clutch. Pretty soon shes gonna have a upr offroad x pipe and some glasspacks. I want to do more but im on a tight budget right now.

I think you will get the best performance out of some longtube headers and an x pipe. If your just going for best sound i personally think offroad (no cats) is the way to go.

-FRPP (not Mac, not BBK, not anything else) Ceramic Shorties
-Offroad H (upr stainless one is good)
-Your choice of catback. I recommend the Dynomax Ultra Flow

The stock headers are so bad its not even funny, they are 1.5" primaries but some moron at Ford decided to put kinks in them to make it easier to install the header bolts so they are more like 1 or 1.25" primaries... Keep your stock mid-pipe hung up on a wall or in a shed and swap it back in for emissions testing if you have it. Swap it back in a few days prior to burn any crud out of the cats.
