315's rubbing?

Im thinking about investing in some fatter tires and i want to run 315's on 10.5 inch wide 17 inch wheels but im unsure if i will have rubbing problems. Anyone else running 315's on there sn95?

HD85,

That's a good question and you should be able to get away running any 315/35/17 Tire without any issue-We've test fit them here on our '98 with a 2" drop and they fit like a glove! Granted if you're going to be running it at the track once in a while they're going to rub when you're getting off the line slightly but it's not anything to be concerned about.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'm here to help!

They'll fit but you may have to flip the quad shocks. That's easy and takes 5 minutes.

Also depends on the offset and the tire believe it or not.

Generally people are talking about the replica wheels or ones with that offset but yeah you do have to check. The replica 17x10.5s are a hair away from the quads so I've always flipped them. Running a Nitto 315 or a Sumi will be fine as those tires run a little narrow anyway in regards to their rated width. I had 17x10.5s on my lowered 98 recently and they fit great with Nitto 555R radials but, again, that tire is more like a 285 than a 315.
