Gas leak

i just bought a 1988 5.0 and whenever put gas it leaks for a day or two but I only notice it when its parked. what could I do to fix this

You will need to find the leak to successfully be able to fix the problem.

My 94 Leaked when I bought it. It was the Rubber Grommet that connects the filler neck to the tank. Not real hard to change if that's where your leak is.

I agree with hellish it's probably filler neck grommet if it's after you put has in it.there is another grommet that goes around fuel pump also.if you going to drop take mine as well replace both

It is more like what Hellish said as it is a very common problem.
