Rough idle

90 fox while running it shuts off. Only way to keep it running is to turn the adjustment screw a lot on the throttle body. It does have a heavy cam but it shouldn't affect that. Need help. Project is ready for the road, just need this issue fixed. Thanks.

Have you run the codes?

Checked for vacuum leaks?

What else does it have?

What have you replaced?

Not even a 11 code?

Did you do a base idle reset?

What does your TPS read?

There's a lot it could be. Mines actually in the shop for the same issue. Maf Iaac tps i replaced all that and it was still actin up. I tried everything, went through all the vacuum hoses. Believe it is a vacuum leak internally in the brake booster. Will have car back tomorrow and should be able to tell you

I was thinking that I had to get it retuned. Ya I did all that too. I've even changed the booster and master, still the same. What rpm do you idle at?

Idles at like 700. Like you said though. If you turn it up it goes away. But it has to be at like 1k for it not to act up. Hopefully mines just the booster. Haha like I said I've been through it with mine and I'm in the middle of moving and just had to take it to my mechanic cause I didn't have time to mess with it. It seemed like if my foot was in the brake in traffic or at a light that's when it would start. But then really the only time it's idling my foots on the brake. So guess that doesn't really work. Hopefully I'll know tomorrow.

If I just start my car and let it warm up though it never has a problem. It's not till it's driven a little bit before the idle acts up. It's gotten a little worse but it's not consistent and light never turns on

Just got it back today. It was the tps. I guess it was running almost two volts and it's supposed to be around 1. But it wasn't the sensor itself. He said the sensor wasn't reading properly cause of the over load on it. He said unplug the battery for around ten minutes and it should all reset itself. But check the tps and see what voltage it's putting out. That might not be the problem with your but I just took mine on about a 45 minute drive around town and on the freeway and had no issues. He said for the next couple days it might jump up and down like it has a cam but it will stop. Cars just gotta kind of reset. Hope this helps and sorry it wasn't sooner. I literally just picked it up. Let me know if that helps
