Afr heads

Hey guys im currently paying for these afr heads brand new perfect shape and I was just wondering is there anything I need to change I know gaskits and all that but what about headers? Rollers rockers pushrods and is $1000 a good deal for both? Just wondering what you guys think or I should know about these heads will they work or no? What do I need to get? Please and thanks in advance jave a great day.

Those heads are very nice but you will need roller rockers and new pushrods.


What cam are you running?


Also with 2.02 valves you might run into clearance issues.

also don't even both using the rocker studs they have installed in them. get these ARP ones right away. i snapped one of the stock ones within a month of install. thankfully it didn't cause catastrophic failure but it did bend some pushrods

185s may not clear stock valve reliefs depending on a few things. They'll also be pigs down low on a stock 302 but pull real hard up top. 165s are a better choice for a NA 302 or look at TW 170s.

So how would I fix the clearance problem and I have a e303 cam do I need new rollers as well?

Can someone help me out of what I need to buy like maby a list? Like the size brand of things where I can get them please? Im no so experienced yet im on 17 but im getting there I read a lot learning more and more every day

And another thing about gaskits I heard if you get new heads or anything that can up youe horsepower you can easily blow a head gaskets I was told about metal gaskits or copper coted?

Just type in the search zone ( at the top of ur page ) aluminun heads , and all the treads will come out !
I think scotty probably answer that question at least 100 times
