Exhaust recommendations

I just bought my 5.0 foxbody mustang convertible GT today! However before I got it the exhaust fell off at the cats would it be cheaper to just order one or build one?

I have BBK shorty headers that go into a catless H pipe that goes into flowmaster 40's and it's so loud and sounds Extremely mean.

Did you want to do headers back or are you thinking of rebuilding what fell off?

Well I make barley $8.00 an hour and in high school and flipping the bill for my project so going to conserve what I can till I get out of school and get a better a job so I'm trying to find an exhaust that will have a deep sound that's not obnoxious from the cats back

When I was in high school I just ran stock headers and took the pipes off after the cats...they just unbolt. Has a nice sound, and I still have it like that today.

But I would do what Kyle said and get some headers so you get that nice tone. I wouldn't take your cats off unless your getting a mid pipe and/or want to put your cats back on everytime you need smoge(not that bad). You can find headers on craigslist for cheap.

Welcome to the forums.

Right now, you might just want to put what fell off back on. Then scour craigslist and ebay for the exhaust parts that you want.

Shorty headers, catless H-pipe, and Flowmasters sound great on badsheep's five-oh.

I don't have any pipes I believe I'm going to order sr performance pipes from late model restoration and save up and build my exhaust from headers back
