Nope, spark plugs will bang right into the primaries. MAC makes a set of shorties for the P heads. Also equal length headers are nothing but a headache honestly.

Those heads were for the v8 Explorer. I would look for standard GT 40 heads.....maybe trade or sell the p heads.

For the 97.5-up Explorer. The early run ones in 96 and 97 had the standard GT40 heads.

Equal length is a huge pain. Most unequal shorties will work and you can use spark plug wires with a 45 or 90 degree to help with the header issue. Also those fiberglass sheaths to protect from the heat work.

The Ford Stainless/Ceramic headers clear the P heads and are light years better quality than the BBKs.

Some good budget headers are MAC's.

FRPP headers are very nice.

Not a fan at all of BBK stuff.

Craigslist should have some stuff out there.

If you're going to buy shorties, buy FRPP. /thread.

If you have a 94/95 you MIGHT be able to find a used set as they are not made anymore and the FRPP ones hold up so well I would not hesitate to buy used ones if they were the FRPP. Ford still makes the fox ones and I would get the ceramic coated jobbers.

All that said... the fox and 94/95 cars are so damn easy to install headers on, I would just do longtubes and forget it. They install with the motor in the car, stock K and everything.
