Radio Problems

Hello I have a 94 GT Conv and one day i just couldn't hear my radio out of no where. I drove my car with the top down listening to the radio on a hot sunny day then i turned the car off left the top down got out for about ten minutes and when i got back in the radio turns on like the buttons work fine i can change the channels and volume but i can't hear anything at all. Any thoughts on what happened and what i can do hear? P.S. Not very car savy but given the right instructions i can get stuff done. Thanks

Aftermarket radio? Likely a loose wire if the install wires weren't soldered or heat shrunk. Easy fix

If its an aftermarket headunit and it came in the car its likely a hackjob install behind the dash. You'd have to get the correct radio removal tools for whatever brand radio that is and then pull it out and see what the situation is back there. I've seen way too many butt spliced messes when it comes to radio installs.

I think you only need the key to remove it from the cage. If he doesn't have the keys I think he can just remove the whole dash kit and the radio should go with it

Yeah I don't have the keys for mine, I'm about to change it out anyway so I'll have them when I get the new unit but for this one, I just yank the storage box out from below the single DIN unit to have access to the screw on the plastic post behind the radio, and then remove the 2 screws on the front of he bezel and pull the whole thing out.
