valve lash

I purchased 1.6 pedestal roller rockers for my 87GT. Checked the pushrod length and the stock pushrods put the mark on the valve stem in the center but it took a full turn after tension on the pushrods. Every article or video I'v seen except one form Crane Cams says one quarter turn to a half for torque of 20 ft lb's. Crane Cams say's quarter to one full turn. What worries me is I just hand tightened the bolt because I found out I did not have the right socket to use my torque wrench. Only hand tightened to check pushrod length, will pick up the 6mm allen socket needed to do it right. Question is, should I worry about the full turn or shim the rockers. Seems like if I shim them, It will screw with the roller being in the middle of the valve stem. Any thoughts on this?
