1988 ford 5.0 mustang lx/gt 5 speed fuel pump relay or ecm or wire?
I let my car sit for 2 weeks then start it up and I drive to the gas station about a mile away no problem ran fine. Turned the car off payed for gas turn the key after fueling and no noise from the fuel pump so I towed it home tried to find the inertia switch and it seems the previous owner bypassed the switch it's not in any of the locations whatsoever. So I purchased a new fuel relay part number 913157 and disconnected the batt hooked up the new one and turned the key and now the fuel pump stays on non stop and still no start just cranks doesn't catch at all so then today I put the old relay back in and it does the same thing stays on so with the pump on I went to the EEC test box under the hood with a test light stuck the needle into the far right and bottom pin and the fuel pump turns off but still no start so then I find the a9 CPU and it looks to be fairly new or reman in 2001 from what the print says any ideas? I recently changed the*spark*plugs*and wires and cap and rotor and noticed one of the plugs on the left side of the engine was burned a little by being to close to the header could this be an issue ? Any help would be appreciated
