Cleaning iac tips

Hey guys was wondering what was the best way to clean a iac? I took off my whole throttle body so I will be cleaning that too.

Use throttle body cleaner and a toothbrush if you can get it in there!

Okay that's what I was thinking, that I need something to get in there. Tb cleaner will work on both correct?

Yes it will work on both. They say to stay away from carb cleaner and brake clean because they can melt plastics and things.

Another quick question, I have the whole tb off the car and I know that a bigger tb will not gain me any real power but would it be worth it cause I already have it off? I will be buying one in the future for my 306 build.

Yeah they help. I have a 75mm on my 302 with trickflow heads,can,intake, and all that and it does help out!

In you application It will help cause you have the supporting mods I just have a cai for now and exhaust

Yeah I put it on when I had CAI and cam and everything was stock and it was a little difference. I rebuilt the motor and did exhaust last winter along with all the fuel mods

Stock bottom end,e-303, GT-40 upper and lower, under drive pulleys, full exhaust, 24# injectors, 255 LPH fuel pump, stage 1 clutch,4.10's, trickflow heads, BAMA tune, 1.7 roller rockers with hardened pushrods and ford racing lifters along with bigger radiator and tires. Thing hauls *** lol next on my list is full rear suspension
