How much

Got my 302 assembled and was wondering how much can I put back on the motor wile it is still on the stand and still be able to set it back in the car. It a 87 gt and I'v removed the A/C condenser and the radiator the grille and front bumpers. Have been cleaning and painting parts as they are put back on so its a slow go. Is it possible to mount the accessories (A/C and alternator,) and still be able to lower the motor in the car?

You can lower it in like that yeah. The last pushrod drop in I did was a fully dressed motor on the stand, hooked it to the hoist and then bolted the trans to it while it was hanging there and dropped it all in as 1 piece. **** doing the trans with it under the car, I have 0 idea why ppl don't always pull it as 1 piece. Its so easy to yank the whole thing out vs unbolting it and bracing the trans and then pulling out just the motor.

Thanks Scotty. Glad to hear that. sure is easier putting that stuff on on the stand. Did not pull the transmission but had the car sitting on 6 ton jack stands about two foot off the ground, with all the accessories off the motor, really it was just the short block setting in the car so I could reach the top bell housing bolts from top and my grand son got the two bottom ones from under the car. Yours and others input on this site have helped me a lot on this project, and it's highly appreciated. Been reading a lot about if you put roller rockers on that they might not clear the valve covers. Is that the case? Mine are 1.6 rollers.

You may have to remove the oil baffle, bolt them on and turn the motor over by hand and see if you have any interference. 94/95 cars have issues with VCs...

Amazon's check fit link say's it wont and going by the picture of the valve cover's on their site the bolt pattern is different. For some reason I'm getting links to other websites from your post on my phone but not on my computer. Don't make sense to me. First link on first post went to Amazon's site and on the second post went to some Honda site.
