Tire width question

What is the widest set of tires I can fit under my 88 gt if I remove the quad shock and what width of rim do I need.

What size rims?

What was done so that it doesn't rub in the front? Limiters?

Are you running exhaust? If so does it rub?

I had 295/50/15 and they were like 1/2" away from my 2.5 tips.
