1987 notch 5.0 cobra engine

Hey guys, my dads boss has an 87 notch with a stock 95 cobra engine in it that he pulled off some kids wreck. He wants 3k for it since he doesn't have time for it anymore and to me it seems like a steal but before I buy it I wanted to hear someone drop some knowledge (obviously from you guys) and I wanted to know if anybody has done something similar to this, anything I should check out, pros and cons, all that good stuff. He's had it parked for a while so its pretty dirty, but other than that it looks good and he claims to have ran 13s on street tires but I doubt it. Ill post some pics in a bit but in the meantime lemme know what you think!

Seems a bit high just for the motor imo, miles? mods? any other info on the motor itself?

What's the rest of the car look like?

It does seem like you will have plenty to keep you busy tho.

If the engine sounds good no knocking or anything and the body is in good shape I'd say 3k is a good starting price... If u good get it for 2500 I'd say that's a deal u can't pass (if it runs strong)
