T5 whine normal?

Hey guys. I recently converted the AODE in my car to a WC t5 due to the aode's second failure in 4 years time. So anyway I bought it re built off another forum, who does awesome work. I very happy with the transmission, it shifts awesome, and has no shaft play. Only concern is alight gear whine in certain gears like second and 4th.. etc. I used casrtol mercon v atf. Should I switch to a different fluid or what?

I get gear whine in mine too. I also swapped a t5 into my fox and got rid of the slush box aod...lol It has been doing it for over a year (with "spirited" driving), and I've had no issues with it.

Thanks man, yes the slush box lmaoo. I liked my AODE when it was working because it had a lot done to it. But the tremec feels so good, and is so so much more fun to drive. Also the AODE may have shifted faster but the tremecs 1st and 2nd gearing is insane compared to the aode. It is so much quicker off the line.
