306 swap

So I have an 88 notchback I bought already swapped with a 302 from a similar year. Then I planned on building this motor but instead just bought the full engine from summit with the e303 cam, gt40 heads, forged Pistons.

Then I grabbed all the supporting things 70mm throttle body , maf sensor , 24 lb injectors, gt40 upper and lower intake. Every bushing I could think of replaced with polyurethane bushings, eibach struts shocks, sway bars.

I bead blasted the upper and lower intake while taping off the holes but I've read it's Impossible to get all the aluminum oxide out and the engine will vacuum it into the cylinders (bad).

Is the true? Also I read something about changing the gear on my stock distributor for the e303 cam. Also I've failed to find what temp gauge I should run, 220, 240 etc

Any info or suggestions would be great since I'm pretty novice

Well if you bead blast it, then wash it to be sure.

Temp gauge 240 is good.......mech or electric?
