What to look for on 94-95 cobra?

Well have a guy I'm possibly trading my 95 lightning for his 94 5 speed cobra. I'm more used to foxes so I know most of the chassis a basic engine stuff. Just wondering what else to look for.

Well first, that it is actually a Cobra. Lots of clones out there. Take a look at the VIN. If the 8th digit of the VIN is not a "D" then it isn't a real one no matter what he says. Make sure that the crabclaw wing and 94/95 Cobra specific decklid are still there (3rd brake light is an LED strip in the wing, the decklid has no 3rd light) and all the other Cobra stuff is there too.

Besides that its pretty much the same as any other Mustang to buy. Looking to make sure all mechanical stuff is up to par, condition, rust etc...

That's the main thing I was wondering is what Vin digit it was. How desirerable are the wings? I planned on deleting it if I got it.

The wings were specific to 94/95 Cobras ONLY as is the decklid. If you delete it, keep it in storage. I wouldn't, its one of the telltale signs that you have a legit 94/95 Cobra.
