Question about 93 foxbody

Hey guys I have a friend selling a 93 fox body. He says it has a mildly built 302. Problem is that I'm confused. The air filter is in the center of the engine. Isn't that weird. I'm wondering if it's not the stock motor. Idk much about those cars or old motors anyway. Let me know what's up with this or if I should buy it.

It must have a carburetor instead of fuel injection

Is that a bad thing? Can u convert the once fuel injected engine to a carburetor? Like I said idk much about this stuff I've always had newer vehicles. I'm trying to upload pics but it's not working.

Never mind. He said it was a complete engine swapped fox. Has a mild cam. Built internals. Longtubes. Offroad h. Subframe connectors. Bigs and littles. Short throw shifter. He wants 3800$ for it. Has 91000 miles.

Not too bad of a price I suppose. I'm not an LX fan but they are still a good car. I like the GT for the ground effects etc. Definitely a carburated engine tho

Too bad its not a notch... $3800 is a great price though if it all runs right and the body is clean. Definitely a carb swap, last year for OEM carbs was 85 lol.

I actually
Prefer the hatch over the notch. He said it runs amazing. I'll see in a few days. I'm trading my 2013rmz450 for it because he wants it and I dont

Notches are a solid 100-150lbs lighter.

Not a bad looking car. Looks like he took his time under the hood. If your not into drag racing you can always swap back to the fuel injection for better drivability.
