Door handles

The famous handle problem, my passenger side has completely snapped inside and out when u pull on it, it's loose. My driver side has started acting up now on top of my window motors going out(easy fix). But before I order the parts to fix my doors I want to make sure I got it right. Rivet gun, inner and outer door handle for passenger and driver side, and the rivets, I think they come in the door handle kit. I took it to a collision center but it'll cost me $300 to fix both doors so that's a negative

I did it my self on a ranger I have looked at mine on my stang and looks to be the same setup. The hardest part is that stupid Plastic clip connecting to the latch, I broke two of them before getting it right. I get quickly frustrated when my hands don't fit in places I need them to haha! Just take your time And keep your patience lol, that looks like all you need. A nice sharp drill bit helps. I put bolts in mine instead of rivets. Good Luck!

FWIW: Outer door handle uses 1/4" rivets so you'll need a large rivet gun for those.

This will help with what you need and also a video towards the bottom that talks you through removing and installing the outer door handle.

Here a video on how to do remove and install inside handle. Again the video is towards the bottom

Lol I know right. I ordered a large rivet gun along with the rivets and and handles, but I noticed my driver side outer handle is bolted on and my passenger has rivets. Will that cause a problem or no?

I'm betting someone did the same as me and just put bolts instead to save you the work next time they fail.

As long as who ever put the bolt in, in placed of the rivet didn't use a drill bit 1/8" bigger than the 1/4 inch hole needed for the 1/4 rivet you'll be OK.

If it has a bolt someone has already changed them.they aren't bad to change.you will have to drill out old rivits.i would tape off around it for little protection.they do have a kit you can buy that comes with rivit gun and handles
