Mini torque statarter swap

Ok so i know that newer mustangs and explorers have the "mini" starters and ive heard you can swap them in. Will an auto one from say en explorer fit a 5 spd mustang?

Assuming you're talking about the difference between a starter solenoid for a (86-91) and the mini starter 92-95) solenoid yes it will work as long as you wired it like this.

So you just have to add one wire to the other side of the relay?

And move the one to the starter already on there to the other side. Sorry just now saw that

5 speed or Auto they're both the same when it comes to the wiring at the starter solenoid.

Im mean the gears at the tip, are they any different with a flywheel or the gear for the autos

Yes they are different............. 164 tooth or 157 tooth
