How much for short block?

I'm selling a freshly rebuilt 308 with new stock .40 over Pistons and stock bottom end how much do they normally go for?

Self built with stock crank and rods? $500? It won't sell for a super lot.

Yeah it's just a stock painted 5.0 short block with new .40 over Pistons and stock crank with oil pan and oil pump

I've noticed it really depends on location with that kind of stuff. If you're more west there's a higher chance you'll sell it but for cheaper. If you're more east it will probably sit a while till you get the one person interested and they'll pay a better buck. I know from personal experience. Throw it up on eBay for eBay for $600 with a hidden reserve of your choice and let it go for a few weeks. If it doesn't sell, try craigslist in a few spots in the US with available shipping.
