You must be some sort of masochist to be doing a trans in the garage on your back in this cold and the equal lengths too. No idea why ppl still do equals but W/E, if they are on they are on. Love the look of the Hurst shifter in the Fox interior too, very sechs.

Love the notchback too, now get on those seats and carpet!!!

Well if they are AFR heads they'll say AFR right on the front of the head. If they are AFRs they are likely 165s and porting isn't going to be needed at all nor will it do very much and is kinda dumb because if you are going to run ported 165s you just get 185s...

I would not worry about them being ported anyway seeing as you have a stock bottom end.

Like Scotty said if they are AFR it is stamped right on the front of the heads.

Also AFR's are all CNC'ed ported from factory. That was one of their bullet points as their claim to fame.

Now I really wouldn't worry about your heads being ported unless you have all the other supporting mods and are spinning that motor to 6.5k and above.

You make me think of something tho ! If i want i can rev that engine 6500 rpm easy ! Actually i have to watch my self to make sure i shift at 6000 because it would pass that point easy ! Anyway i think i will record the noise and post it maybe experienced guys like you will know

This is what we are talking about. It will be mostly obscured by the accessory brackets but you should still be able to see some of the marking. Also aluminum heads are going to look... well... aluminum lol.

You can also see where AFR is cast down by the exhaust ports. You should know if you have aftermarket heads is what I am saying...
