Transmisson problem

I just installed a new pilot bearing, clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing and when I go to put the Trans in it goes all the way in except for like 3cm and I know you're not suppose to bolt it in if its not sitting flush with the bellhousing but I can't figure out why it won't go in the few can!

It'll go in. You did use the clutch alignment tool right? And when you tigthen the clutch down you need to be constatnly removing and re-installing the tool to make sure it slides right in with no tension on it at all. If you just tighten the clutch down with the tool in place but don't check on that, its probaly going to be bound up and that is causing your issues. Or its soemthing stupid like the wiring harness is falling in between the trans and bell whre you can't see it and boogering it up.

I checked to make sure the wires weren't in the way. I'm going to take it out today and make sure the pilot bearing is all the way seated because it's literally a few centimeters that it won't go in 😒

Take a socket and a hammer and put the socket up on it and tap tap taperoo. Also... if this is a rebuilt trans are you sure its not a SN95 input shaft? Those are an inch longer than fox shafts lol. That would suck.

It's definitely a fox trans but I'm going to make sure everything is seated and what not because it's really holding up this build

So I found out that the bearing retainer shaft is hitting the clutch where the splines go into so that's what is stopping it. But why does it stick out further so it won't go in all the way? It's a spec stage 2 which I know stages don't mean anything it's the torque rating but it's making me mad
