Question 1995 mustang GT worth $1000?

My buddy is going to buy a 1995 mustang GT the body has 170k miles on it, and the engine and transmission have about 60k. The engine came out of sn95. it was professionally done. it isnt throwing any codes and it does have some body damage done to it. Is this going to be worth the price?

A running car is worth 1000 bucks. So if say a GT with a decent drivetrain is easily worth that

What sort of body damage? Clean title? If the motor/trans are in good shape and the interior is not beat to hell (and especially if its black) there is going to be more than $1k in parts easy.

Usually real cheap SN95 GTs like this make good donor cars. He could get this, find a good 94/95 V6 for $2000, swap the whole shebang over and probably make $500-$1k selling duplicate/leftover parts.

There is just a dent in the front right fender. That is all the body damage that i noticed other than a little bit of paint fading.

Roger that. I generally get another Mustang when I don't have time to change my mind. Like the blue 98, I found it on the corral one day and the very next day it was in my driveway haha. Just a few years back I had 5 cars and just me driving lol.

I haven't been without a stang this long for like... literally 15 years... I'm losing it...

Yeah I know that's me and the wife... not exactly great... I keep wanting to find a S197 but I don't want to spend the $$$ a 3V would cost upfront if I plan to swap it later and I would not be opposed to a 4.0L to build up and then eventually drop a Coyote into but they're $$$$$ for decent ones around here for no good reason. I'm probably just not looking in the right spots.

And there's always the 96 PI swapped/cammed vert that's for sale 2 hours from me that has been for sale for awhile and looks at least as nice as my blue 98 was.

Like I said, Raptinator is completely right internets diagnosis from half a country away. I change my mind literally every 3 seconds.

For $1000 I'd jump on it. I sold my 94 GT about 3 months ago for $2500 to the 1st guy who drove it. It had 178K mi. on it. Ran perfect though & it only had a few upgrades like exhaust, CAI, 3 Core Radiator, MSD Plug Wires & Dist. Cap. So $1000 for a 95 GT is a good deal even if it needs some minor work. The Fender is nothing. Get one at the junk yard for $35 & swap it out. High Performance upgrades are pretty easy to find on Craigslist.
GO FOR IT !!!

Eh, Craigslist stuff is so sketch... you have to be REAL careful and know for damn sure exactly what you are looking at without having to pull up the info on your smartphone. But good deals can be found.

Like I said before, $1k for the car... if it runs and drives there is more than that in parts alone. Could be a really good donor too.
