94 GT turbo help

I have a 94 gt with a turbo. Don't know to much about turbos but when I boost it I get some oil out of one of the breathers. Was told its blow by that it's prolly a piston ring. I told another guy I was getting blow by and he instantly said I needed to rebuild my motor which I don't think I need to. What do u guys think.

Delete your PCV system completely if its not already. You are pressurizing the crank case which is very bad. This means that whoever did the install of the turbocharger half assed that part of it. If you run a PCV system with a blower you need to install aftermarket specially designed check valves in the system because the OEM PCV will leak badly under any sort of boost. Just deleting it is much easier.

This begs the question, what else did they not do correctly on the car? Is this a name brand turbo kit btw or a DIY? You have any idea what sort of tune is on the car, what fuel system or anything like that?

I planned on a catch can. It's a complete on3 turbo. I got it from a guy thinking I could fix it but I'm more familiar with superchargers. There wasn't even any breathers on the car when I got it.

Do what Scotty said first.

Then if you can do a compression and a leak down test which will give ya some indication of the general health.

I noticed a hose underneath the car that looks like nothing but steam or smoke comes out I'm assuming it's the crank case. If I have a bad piston ring is taking out the pvc system gonna help

By deleting the pcv system is that taking the pcv valve or just capping it
